Here at Oklahoma Native Roots, we teach the medicinal value of terpenes and the importance they have on patients and their overall experience with Cannabis. We believe in using Terpenes to guide our patients to what works best for them and to give them the best experience possible.
Terpenes are aromatic compounds found in many plants. Many people commonly associate them with cannabis because of cannabis plants containing the high concentrations of these aromatic compounds create the characteristic scent of many plants. Examples are pine lavender, fresh, orange peel and black pepper.
Examples on how we direct patients to use terpenes are when patients are looking for more relaxation and sedation, we would direct them towards terpenes like myrcene and linalool. For patients that are looking for more uplifting, an energetic effects, we would direct them towards terpenes, like limonene, pinene and terpinlonene.
